ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST
STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK UP: The southeast parking lot is a parking lot, not a student drop off area. Parents are instructed to park in the southeast lot before school and walk their children onto the school grounds. They are also instructed to park in the southeast lot at dismissal and meet their children on the school grounds. It is very important that everyone pay closer attention to safety during student drop off and pick up. The children deserve a safe environment coming to school and leaving at the end of the day. Perhaps leaving home a few minutes earlier or car pooling will help with the time delays especially in the morning and the congestion at the end of the day.

KIVA TECHNOLOGY UPDATES
Lately, document cameras were installed in every Kiva classroom!  Also, Kiva and the District in general are upgrading computers and monitors!  This 'wave' of technology brought 15 new Dells and 47 Flat Panel monitors to the Kiva campus!  As a result, half of the Cougar Lab (N5) is now upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows XP, and every monitor in the Discovery Lab is now upgraded to Flat Panel!  Several classrooms will now receive Dells for student use.  And finally, the week of November 5, the District DVD/VCR-Tuners will be installed, so that campus announcements, DVDs and Videotapes and cable television will show through ceiling projectors.
